Hi everyone! My name is Michela but you can call me Miky! I moved here to Brooklyn from my home town in Brisighella, Italy, right outside Tuscany, after I graduated from the University of Bologna. I live in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, in my husband's grandfather 100 years old house.
My perspective of food is ancient and respectful of each ingredient I manage, as my grandparents taught me.
I decided to start Airbnb because I want to share a different food perspective of what you are used to see in restaurants in NY. In fact, if you want a “feel like home” experience this is the right one for you. My food is hearty, handmade, and each dish will tell you a different story from my country.

Michela and her husband were wonderful hosts! The sourdough pizza (and all the fresh toppings) were delicious, and Michela did a great job teaching us a bit about how to make the pizza dough ourselves. I was also able to take home some sourdough starter and have since made sourdough pizza in my own home using recipes Michela sent out after the experience. There were two other guests who booked the same night we did, and we all had great conversation and felt very welcome throughout the evening!

The event was awesome. They pizza was even better. This was my first time going to an Airbnb event and it was so worth it. Michele and her husband were so accommodating so sweet and made everyone feel so comfortable. I’d definitely do it again. I can’t wait for their next event.

I booked the sourdough pizza experience as a gift for my boyfriend. It was something neither of us had done, so it was a perfect new experience. We met Michela and two other guests in the lovely backyard before moving inside to get our welcome mojito drink. The mojito was so delicious! We then got acquainted with everyone and headed back out. Michela described the ingredients we could use and where she purchased them from--she also told us that we could choose herbs from her small garden. She then demonstrated how to work with the sourdough and its benefits. We all took turns in pairs rolling out our dough, placing it on the pizza stone, and then adding our toppings. We were able to enjoy a slice from everyone's creation, which was great. We also were provided with water and beer throughout. Overall, the experience was amazing and I felt like I was among friends and family.
