What you'll do

Meeting point will be at Plaça de l’Àngel, (metro Jaume I) from which we will be on our way to our first stop - Santa Maria del Mar, an outstanding example of Catalan Gothic achitecture. I will bring you around the neighborhood of El Born, one of Barcelona’s trendiest areas, characterized by its narrow medieval streets, designer boutiques, cafes and cocktail bars. From there we will move on to Plaça del Rei, arguably, the Gothic architectural ensemble which best exemplifies the city's medieval past. The royal palace, and its surrounding buildings, enclose a harmonious and peaceful square which is still imbued with Barcelona's splendour during the Middle Ages. Moving on, we will stop by Palau de la Generalitat. It houses the offices of the Presidency of the regional government, and is one of the few buildings of medieval origin in Europe that still functions as a seat of government, housing the institution that originally built it. I will also show you some of the Gothic Quarter’s must-sees like Pont del Bisbe, Plaça Sant Felip Neri, and many more. We will end the tour in la Seu square, home to Barcelona Cathedral. It is dedicated to Santa Eulalia, Barcelona's patron saint.
