What you'll do

Meeting on the white sands of Dolls Point Beach, participants will be given a short safety briefing, before being set up in a pair of state-of-the-art Epic V8 Double kayaks, and provided with lightweight paddles, safety tethers and life jackets.
Depending on the weather and the ambition of the guests, we can cruise across to the nature reserve and the white sands and warm clear water of Towra Point, paddle out of Kurnell to relive the landing of Captain Cook in 1770, or even head out into the wide blue yonder of the Tasman Sea and get a glimpse of Sydney’s golden sandstone cliffs.
Considering we're less than 30 minutes from the centre of Sydney, it can feel like you’re on a tropical island!
There are a multitude of secluded spots for a swim or a snorkel, and a living history lesson centred on a place with great significance for both Indigenous Australians and the colonists who settled Sydney.

I'm a qualified Australian Sea Instructor, with 20 years paddling and guiding in and around Sydney and it's environs. Along with my business partner Rob Mercer, we are two of Australia's best known kayakers and coaches. We have a lifetime of stories & tales of our time on the sea that we love to share with or customers on the Botany Bay Paddle. We have a flawless safety record, and over the years the word has spread about the adventurous, yet safe and inclusive nature of our paddles. We know the Botany Bay shoreline area intimately, and would love the opportunity to show off this spectacular and historic part of Sydney to locals and visitors alike.

Where you'll be

Towra Pont Nature Reserve - A honeycomb-coloured stretch of golden white sand rich in history, and home to some of the world's most endangered birds, this a special & rarely visited diamond of Sydney's natural world.
Kurnell and Captain Cook’s Lansing - the birthplace of modern Australia, and a sacred and tragically significant place for Indigenous Australians.

I didn’t participate at this experience, but I’ve offered this kayak adventure to my son and a friend for their Christmas present. Here is the great commentary of my son Benoît that enjoy so much this kayak adventure : - Awesome Lad - very professional - always felt secure (we turned the boat over 3 times) - always giving a few options, he proposed to us to do more challenging stuff. - not afraid to improvise and propose some extra options for free + very flexible with time and drop out location! - on time He said that Mark was a brother :)
