Susan is a life-long Marblehead resident and literary expert. She was so accommodating on our walking tour, providing unique storylines to go along with each stop and answering any questions we had. Make sure to bring a camera, as the views along the little harbor and coves are incredible! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful community on the Massachusetts coast.

This the best way to see parts of Marblehead you’d never find on your own. The literary angle adds color and perspective. Susan is lovely and authentic. There’s a charm and character that adds so much to the experience. Yes, it’s a very special walk and look at a great town. But Susan makes it so, so much more.

Susan brought Marblehead alive for us by walking, literally, walking through stories that Marblehead inspired in visiting writers. We saw the coves and paths the writers saw and wove into stories. Hearing the stories added a layer of mystery, beauty, tension and humanity to the already stunning landscape.

A lovely, personal experience with a local to Marblehead. It’s unique and incredibly well thought out. Add in the views with the stories? Quite possibly the best 2 hours you’ll spent on this gorgeous peninsula.

An absolute “must-do” when visiting Marblehead. Susan is an expert walking tour guide, and through her own descriptions of growing up in the area and sharing excerpts from wonderfully descriptive out-of-print books an already special place becomes magical.
