What you'll do

We would love to show you the Sunset of Cappadocia on Horseback - in very small groups!

It is our main priority to ensure your safety. For that reason we will keep our contact to a minimum. The only contact will be if you need help getting on your horse. We would kindly like to ask you to wear masks when arriving to our ranch. Once on your horse, you will have enough space to the other to take your mask off for a while, but anytime you get off, please put on your masks again. If you have any more questions regarding our measures, please don't hesitate to contact us.

First we will pick you up from your hotel in Göreme (or location nearby, conditions below) and take you to our horse ranch in Cavusin. Your main guide will be Musa, who as a native Cappadocian knows the trails inside out.

Our Sunset Tour will take you through two valleys of Cappadocia. We will start in Cavusin, ride at a slow pace on flat ground, then start going up Rose Valley. On top of Red Valley you will experience a little bit of a thrill on narrow trails that only our horses can take you. It is a relaxed ride over all, but you have to be up for a little adventure as well.

On top of Red Valley we will take a break. The horses will rest a bit, you can take in the stunning scenery. Afterwards we will see the sunset on a grass platform, take some photos and ride back down to Cavusin.

We are the owners of a family-run horse ranch in Cavusin/Göreme, Cappadocia. Opened by Musa, a Cappadocian Native, who has been on the horse since childhood after his grandfather opened the first horse ranch in the region of Cappadocia decades ago. And by Özlem, a big-city-girl, who found peace in this beautiful place. We, together with our team, now want to share this experience with you.

Cappadocia was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985. Its ancient name is "Katpatuka" which can be translated into "The Land of the Beautiful Horses". So we believe the most organic way to explore Valleys & Fairy Chimneys is on the back of a horse. Horses have been here for thousands of years and we are aware that Cappadocia is just as much - if not more - theirs as it is ours.

Hope to see you soon!

Thanks Özlem! I love the riding and the spots were breathtaking. I like our lil talk and how we see life 🥰 Even though we couldn't talk that much during the ride, I like the info you gave us about certain places while riding 😊

This was one of the best thing I did in Cappadocia. I have no experience with horses before this and the guide made us feel very safe during the whole time. We rode through Rode Valley wish was lovely and saw the sunset going down over cappadocia city.

My sister and I enjoyed every minute of this experience. She had not been on a horse before and was nervous about it but felt very confident riding her horse so if you have hesitations go for it! Views were simply otherworldly 🧡🧡

Meet your hosts, get introduced to how to your horse and how to ride, and get going. It's a beautiful valley and a lot of fun. You'll stop for a drink at the top during sunset, have your photos taken and head back. For us it was our first time riding horses so for us that alone was fun. If your expecting anything other than just trotting slowly up a hill this may not be for you, but it was great for noobies like ourselves.

More tips

Our horses are easygoing, used to people & know the Valleys inside out. But they are indeed live animals with natural instincts. So as much as we want you to relax on your tour, it's important that you follow the guide's directions & hold on to the reins at all times.

What to bring

Solid shoes (sneakers, boots etc). Jacket or sweater according to weather conditions.
