Hello out there,
My name is Cherita and I believe that everyone has the right to learn something new, see something beautiful and live a life as fulfilling as possible. I have 14 years in hospitality with the last 7 of them in richmond learning about the city and it very unique back story. I'm totally obsessed with street art and love hunting down new murals. I fell that the true story of a city is painted on their walls.

Much like some of the murals Cherita showed me, this tour is a hidden gem. I learned so much about the Fan and Richmond in general. Cherita makes you feel welcome, she is a wonderful storyteller, and a great conversationalist. Having done a similar activity in Brooklyn, where there are fifty times more murals, some of which are jaw dropping, I can safely say this one is more memorable. Do not hesitate to take Cherita's tour.

Sometimes when you live in a town you take for granted. I’ve always enjoyed all of the street art around Richmond and so I especially appreciated the chance to spend an afternoon with my sister for her birthday exploring with Cherita some of the different artists and what they’ve created. Cherita had some great stories about the art and the artists. She also was very connected with the community, it’s history, and with the approaches of the artists. Added bonus: we ran into a friend of one of the artists and heard a little insider scoop. It was great to also begin at a place where you could have delicious coffee and breakfast or lunch. Fun way to spend a couple of leisurely hours, and get a little exercise at the same time.

Cherita did a great job not only showing some of the public art in Richmond, but had an understanding of who the artists were and how they worked in the city. It was great.

This was a lovely experience - two hours of really getting to know a new place and some of the people and things that make it special. Cherita made sure to delve into the people behind everything we saw and what motivated the artists to create. Our tour was a serious, humorous, thought-provoking way for visitors like us to engage with a new place and the people and culture that make it unique.
