Any experience that involves locals inviting you into their personal home is extra special and this was no exception. 100% do this one! Tria and her mother really offer a totally unique Balinese experience. We see these offerings all over ubud and to understand their significance and learn to make them is something very special. They also invite you to try beautiful local fruits and treats they’ve prepared and are super patient when you lack craft skills as I do :) what a lovely gift of an experience!

This offering class with Tria was just wonderful. We had a delicious welcoming drink and she taught us how to make 4 different kinds of offerings. She also explained the meaning and information behind every single one and we got insights on balinese lifestyle as well. Tria was such a patient teacher and the class did not feel rushed at all. The offerings turned out so beautiful, even my balinese hosts were stunned by them. This is an awesome experience to get to know balinese culture and be part of it, do not miss out on this unique opportunity!

I think this is a very important experience to take in Bali and kudos to Tria for being one of the first’s to host this. Tria is passionate about making tourism in Bali respectful and sustainable. She is a young lady with an open-minded perspective and wit. Spend your time to ask her questions and learn about anything. The structure may feel a bit rush at times since there were several types of offerings we needed to make. The last one was particularly difficult but impressive! I really enjoyed this and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take time to understand Balinese culture.

One word: AMAZING! If you’re in Bali - especially when you’re in Ubud - this is something you must do to get a basic understanding of the offering ceremonies of the everyday Balinese people, their culture and tradition. We had a super interesting and fun filled two hours, a real experience with real people, that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in the spiritual daily life on Bali!
