What you'll do

We meet at Starbucks in downtown area and walk around Nagamachi Samurai district, which was lived by middle-ranking samurais in the feudal times. Then we move to Oyama Shrine, dedicated to 1st lord Maeda Toshiie, whose family had controlled the surrounding region in the past. The shrine is also known as its beautiful garden landscaped by retired lords.
Then we visit "Gyokusen'inmaru Garden" located in the corner of Kanazawa Castle Park. We enjoy the view of this cosy garden used as a private garden of the lords' family. We walk through Kanazawa Castle and reach the highlight of the tour, "Kenrokuen Garden", which was constructed by the successive lords.
Through the tour, I'd like to share my knowledge about local history and culture developed by samurais.
