What you'll do

We will meet at my backyard, which is a casual, unique, eclectic space with some minor construction hazards. I will give a brief safety discussion and overview, then give an external tour of both structures. I will explain what inspired them and how I built them and invite questions. I will ask guests questions so I can tailor the tour and discussion to individual/group preferences.
Brief/Basic photo shoot with camera phones, filtered water, optional tea, coffee, and light snacks included by request.

I am an artist, creator, and storyteller. I have two unique, handbuilt Megascupture play-buildings in my backyard. The Head Hutt and Foo Dog were built with recycled materials, traditional and experimental materials, by me, over a ten year period. I have published a picture book and a story book about their origin stories, and the process and the outcomes of building them.
I love sharing my work with people and welcome any and all questions.

I am also a photographer, with a decent professional DSLR and a few lenses, as well as a good working knowledge of minor edits and social media sharing. I offer several custom photo shoot options, including casual and professional photo shoots. The Head Hutt, which has several unique, one of a kind backdrops for a one of a kind experience that you will never forget!

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.

More tips

Please let me know ahead of time if you have any special needs or concerns that I might need to accommodate. Dress comfortably for the brief tour, and consider a special outfit for photos.

What to bring

To enter the Head Hutt requires signing a safety waiver, the ability to stoop/bend, crouch, and climb stairs. In most cases we will not enter the structures, and guests are asked not to climb on them.

Dress comfortably, and/or, discuss photo shoot plans and costume options if doing a photo shoot. Any special props or other needs should be considered and discussed before the experience.
