What you'll do

I will meet you at the parking of the Grand Koutoubia Mosque close to the old Medina. Then, we will dive to the farm for about 20 minutes out of the noise of the city. We will chat of course and know each other and your food preferences.

Once we arrive to the farm I will show you the Amazing place that we created for our guests, from the Moroccan sitting, patio area, between the fruits trees, the open kitchen, to the roof top to enjoy the magnificent view of landscape and Atlas Mountains.

You will have a Moroccan snacks, tea, and different kind of fresh juices while we are chatting. Then to the kitchen for cooking demos, safety, allergy, and participation. You can take pictures and record your videos for yourselves cooking Authentic Moroccan Dishes and Salads that you chosen and cook with your own hands.

You will learn about yourselves through your experience with Farm to Table Cooking Class. Feel free to hang out in this 6000 square meter and chat while your food is cooking, exchange travel stories, learn some Arabic words, and about my unique perspective as an international traditional-loving modern family in Morocco.

I’m co-host of a Sustainable Farm in Marrakech area and the only one in the city. Born and raised in Casablanca. I started cooking at the age of 14.

I left Morocco at 32, and spent 14 years as fine dining sous chef and Chef in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and USA.

My family and I returned to Marrakech in October 2017 where I run my private home chef services and now as a co-host at Farm to Table Marrakech cooking class.

I love to take care of my guests, family, and friends; food, new textures, cultures, and history.

This cooking class was amazing! We get to experience shopping at the local market and ended up at a really nice Moroccan style farm to learn how to cook. The teacher was really friendly and he gave us some great tips on how to cook amazing tagines. I would love to come back to Marrakech and do it again!

Ash & Kamal are knowledgeable and thoughful hosts/chefs. They will cater to your cooking needs and you can elect what you cook and the ingredients. The supervised market visit is a real eye opener and the farm is a beautiful and relaxing place to cook and while away the afternoon (and evening)!

This was such an incredible experience to have while in Marrakech. His farm is absolutely stunning and he was so welcoming. We learned a ton and had a wonderful evening. If you are able to book, plan to spend around 6 hours, trust me, it is worth it. Food and ambiance will be some of the best you have while on holiday!

It was okay. The farm part does not exist except for a small patch of mint, a bunch of fava beans and some grape Vines. They are apparently removing all the grapes to provide space for a pool or something. Cooking class was fun.

Our host, Kamal, picked us up near the Koutoubia mosque - perfectly on time. Kamal is a very knowledgeable, positive and kind person. His english is excellent. We decided on the dishes, that we would like to prepare (Moroccan salad, Zaalouk salad, Couscous and Tagine and freshly baked bread) and went to a local market for shopping. After a short car ride, we were introduced to the farm and the philosophy of this project. The location itself is truly beautiful. Furnished with good taste and quality materials. Perfect to get a rest from the hustle and bustle of the medina. The working stations are well equipped too. After some delicious mint tea, we started cooking. Kamal talked us patently through the process and all the preparations. He was very motivating! It was a real pleasure to cook with him and his assistent Zahra, to smell and taste the olive oil and the spices. To knead the dough for the bread, cook on live coal and to get to know the secret of preparing Couscous. And finally – to discover that the Moroccan Cuisine is manageable even for Europeans. The freshly baked bread with harisa was to die for!!! After watching the sunset in this beautiful scenery, we had our delicious dinner. Needless to say, it was the best dinner on our whole trip. I highly recommend this cooking experience to you! Thank You, Kamal, for all your energy and the heart you put in the dishes! We had a wonderful time!
