What we’ll do

Arrive at the Village in the morning and start your tour by walking to the local river and learn about the importance of rivers in the Zulu culture where originally most activities like fetching of drinking/cooking water, laundry and love proposals are done. You will also get an opportunity of practicing carrying a 20 litre bucket of water to the village. Then walk to the Shembe Temple…

Where you'll be

Arrive in the village and park your vehicle where you will start learning the Zulu way. Walking together we will share and hear stories that are unique to this village for hundreds of years. A visit to the river will give you a once in a lifetime experience where you, yourself will be learning to carry water the Zulu way. A visit to a 'sangoma' (healer) will give you an opportunity to have a 1:1 consultation and find out about your life.
