What you'll do

We'll start off at the art studio where everyone will be offered a glass of sparkling water. Music will be playing in the background for inspiration. Then, we'll take the elevator up to the rooftop to experience the spectacular view of Dallas skyline for inspiration. Next, it's time to splash some paint on the canvas, so back to the studio where with my guidance each inspired artist will begin the painting process. To paint the Color of Music you have to put yourself inside the emotion it creates as you listen. 1. Thinking in abstract terms visualize the music in solid form as it would look in a photograph with positive/negative space. 2. Begin drawing the lines and shapes of the emotion of the music. This will create the positive space. Make sure you are leaving enough blank canvas for the empty space between the notes creating the negative space. 3. Next we'll set up the paint palettes and mix the paint. Each artist will choose the colors that resonates with the emotion of the music. 4. I'll walk everyone through the process of creating an abstract painting by first blocking in the color then adding texture. The parting gift is the finished painting!
