What you'll do

We'll do a Nature hike along the Niagara Escarpment . In Fall we will see Nature at its BEST !!! The hiking pace will be leisurely. We will be hiking for approx 2-3 hours, depending on the group. I will take you to 5 of the spectacular lookouts dotting the edge of towering cliffs, like the Buffalo Crag Lookout, Trafalgar Lookout & the Nassagaweya Lookout. These are some of the best combined hiking & scenic viewing on the Niagara Escarpment. While on the trails I will point out some 400 year old cedars, I will take you down the stairs to the bottom of the towering rock climbing cliffs. During the warmer months, Turkey Vultures careen across the sky. If you’re lucky, you’ll see a ‘kettle’ of Turkey Vultures bobbing up and down on the thermals. We will always stop for you to catch just the perfect photo moment. This area is 264 hectares of protected space, part of the Bruce Trail and I will show you some of the hidden areas and natural structures where overnighters camp as they hike the whole trail. We will venture further into the forest under a lush tree canopy where you will see many plants and Ancient flora.. You will release energy and stress while walking in the oxygen filled forest before heading home.

Peggy

I have hosted walking hikes in various different Southern Provincial parks, hiked along the Escarpment routes, and led overnight backpacking & canoeing trips through the Algonquin area. I am experienced in the history of the area and will be pointing out hidden areas of interest. My guest enjoy sharing experiences, and relating to each other while we hike. I love Sharing my love for Nature and the outdoors and I simply can't get enough outside time. Over the past decade I have enjoyed guiding both locals and visitors to the region on their exploration & recreation in the Niagara Escarpment.
