What you'll do

We will take a nice walk of about 3 hours in the UNESCO heritage quarters of the city of Granada. Walking through the labyrinth of the Arab quarter, I will tell you about the centuries-old history of this city. Losing ourselves in beautiful and very narrow streets, we will retrace the history of Granada starting from the indigenous peoples, passing through Romans, vandals and Visigoths and focusing on the Arab period. Going up the hill I will show you some breathtaking views of the city and the Alhambra. I will talk about the Reconquista, the coexistence of Muslims, Jews and Christians, the arrival of the gypsies and their extraordinary art: Flamenco. It will be a historical journey that will allow you to experience beautiful places that ordinary tourists would never have the chance to see and learn and learn about the highlights of Granada's important history. We will talk together to make this experience a chance for mutual enrichment. I love the exchange of information and ways of living life, meeting new people who bring a great cultural background to their journeys. In this little journey we will talk about Granada, but also about us, what we are, what we do, our experiences and our dreams. It will be a great opportunity to get to know a beautiful city in the best possible way by experiencing an unusual and exciting experience.
Other things to note
Comfortable walking clothes and shoes. Hat or sombrero for sunny days.

I graduated in History at the University of Siena in 2012 with a degree in the Nazarite Kingdom (Arabic) of Granada. At that time I experienced my first experience in the Andalusian city, falling in love with its history, its scents, its colors. Once back in Italy I finished my studies graduating in Historical Sciences at the University of Bologna with a thesis on the formation processes of the National States. After an experience in Scotland and then in Belgium I moved to Granada. I have been living in the city of pomegranates for two years where I worked for a tourist company as a guide for 18 months. During this experience I decided to set up on my own to offer travelers a historical-political vision of the city, but above all to share my passion with those who want to know and learn.

Veronika was great! She was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I actually showed up late by mistake but she communicated and patiently waited for me. You can tell she's passionate about Granada and history in general. She will take you to some good scenic spots where only locals go, which most tours won't. It was a great overall experience that I would recommend to anyone. I really enjoyed the leisurely pace, the stories, information, friendly conversation and the lookout points we went to take pictures.

This was my all-time favorite guided tour. Veronika's knowledge of Granada is very impressive and she had so many stories and fun facts to tell that I could have listened for hours. Thank you for this amazing experience!

Amazing tour!! We learned so much and felt so engaged the entire time. We’ve been traveling around Europe for almost a month, and this was probably the top walking tour! I already knew a lot about Granada’s history, but our guide taught us so much that I never knew!! Don’t miss this.

There’s absolutely no other way to get to know the city than this is experience. By chance, we were the only people on the experience. In the future, I will probably book many of my experiences private because of the invaluable information given. We learned so much about the history, but also the local hot spots. We booked this experience on our first day in the city and it saved us sooooo much time on our trip because we knew what/when to avoid certain attractions. This experience was magical and I can’t imagine visiting Granada and not booking it

A Granada Must-do! Our tour was with Veronica and that girl KNOWS her stuff! Very friendly and engaging, she keeps an excellent balance of giving you a fun, interactive and quite informative experience. You really discover hidden gems and get an in-depth understanding of how the city was created and how it evolved. Tip 1: This tour will get you to some of the best viewpoints of the city, away from the super touristic spots. Tip 2: Ask away - Veronica is well informed and can engage in really good conversations. Great job Veronica! Thank you for the experience :)
