What you'll do
We will be going on a night walk to observe nocturnal animals. We will be meeting at Rozel furniture store, just outside of TTDI Light Rail Transit Station (SBK10). I will pick you up from the station at 7.45pm and drive over to the trail head which is just 5 minutes away. At the trail head, I will provide a short briefing to go over the route and talk about the animals that we are likely to see. I will be showing you some frogs, lizards, spiders, scorpions and if we are lucky some snakes and nocturnal mammals like civets. I can help photograph the animals that we see, just hand me your camera / cell phone, I am a professional macro photographer that teaches photography on weekends. The route that we will be taking is adjustable to include more time in the trail or on paved roads. So this hike is suitable for both children and veteran hikers. After the hike, I can take you to a McDonald at TTDI which is just 2 minutes away where you can order a Grab car to your accommodations (Grab is a ride sharing service like Uber). I will stay with you until you get into the car. If you don't have cellular data or are having some trouble, I can call the Grab car for you. Disclaimer: With compliance to Airbnb's Animal Welfare Guidelines, while we will be photographing the animals that we find, we will NOT be touching, petting, catching or restraining any animals during the nightwalk

Hello! I am Steven Wong a nature guide and wildlife photographer! I have been an Airbnb Experience host since its launch here in Kuala Lumpur (my other listing is KL Afterdark: Night Hikes in Ampang). I have been leading nightwalks into the forest for 9 years and professionally guiding for two years. Growing up watching Steve Irwin on Crocodile Hunter, gave me an appreciation for herpetofauna (reptiles and amphibians). Picking up photography, I've sought to document these amazing animals in their natural habitat. I enjoy guiding as it allows me to speak for these wonderful animals.

Where you'll be
We will be hiking Bukit Kiara, a public park with a wild side. This park is frequented by families out on strolls, joggers and hikers in the evening, but is mostly vacated at night. There is a mature secondary forest attached to this park where animals such as spiders, frogs, lizards, snakes and some mammals call home. Do not let its appearance fool you, I have spotted some pretty rare reptiles and mammals here!
Things to keep in mind
Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.
Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.
Up to 10 guests ages 8 and up can attend. Be prepared for a light hike and rain especially on rainy months. Hiking shoes recommended.
Bukit Kiara is home to plenty of wildlife, how much we see is subject to noise, weather and luck. It might rain on us, especially on the rainy months. So do bring a poncho or a small umbrella. We will proceed if its just a drizzle or light rain, but we may postpone or cancel if its heavy rain.
