This is a unique experience that would make everyone fall in love with Morocco. The trip includes hike through part of Atlas mountains with some stunning views, all in privacy without other tourist groups. The program of the day was flexible and adjusted based on our needs so we did not have to follow some group activity which we were not interested in. Rachid has perfect English and is very open about his community, answering all kinds of questions we had. Rachid and his wife welcomed us in his home and served us the best Tajine we have tasted. We really felt as part of the village community and wished we could stay longer in this peaceful part of Morocco.

Rachid was a perfect host from beginning to end. From picking us up on time to answering every question and request we had. His English is perfect. He also partners with his community to make sure we received a family like welcome both from the driver and host family we had lunch with. The villages in his community are very independent so having a guide as connected as Rachid is priceless. The views of the mountains towering overhead are world class. You won't regret booking with Rachid and leaving Marrakech behind for a wonderful day in the mountains.

My husband and I were looking for an authentic opportunity to explore Berber culture (i.e., not a "touristy" trek on a camel) with a local -- and Rachid more than surpassed our expectations. We drove beyond the hustle and bustle of Marrakech and into the Ghighaya valley to Tahnaout to meet with a wonderful local woman (Mrs. Fatima) who made us bread and mint tea. She made my husband and I feel welcome in her home. Next, Rachid took us to a local market, then to the women-run Argan oil co-operative. The best part was the time we spent with Rachid in his home with his wife, kids, and mother, eating a homemade meal with ingredients fresh from the land. He taught us about Berber culture (a culture we knew very little about), including the history and language. After lunch, we went for a nature walk through the stunning landscape and got to take some pretty incredible photos. Rachid is warm, welcoming, knowledgable, funny, and the best host we've ever had. We spent five days in Morocco, explored quite a bit of Tangier and Marrakech, but our experience with Rachid was the highlight of our trip -- truly a one-in-a-lifetime, unforgettable experience.
