About your host
I'm a freelance photographer and videographer with over 10 years experience, I hold a degree in english and am fluent in two languages. I have spent the last 5 years teaching traditional Indonesian art 'Batik' to adults and children in our village. I'm a creative person who takes joy in inspiring people to explore their own creative process.
What we’ll do
Kotagede is an old town known for silver making, it's dotted with narrow streets and quirky laneways. While we wait for the Batik to dry join me on a small tour of the area by bicycle or foot, I will show you the neighbourhood and we will have the opportunity to purchase traditional snacks and refreshments. After our exploration we will return to my house to view our finished handiwork’s .
What I’ll provide
Coffee, Tea and Water
I can provide tea, coffee and water at my home, additionally we will have the opportunity to try traditional snacks while we wait for the batik to dry.
Where you'll be
We will do the batik in the front of my family home, while you are at the workshop you will be a welcomed guest in our village.
