I run the Kimono Hotel Himeji, a private lodging in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, and have welcomed guests from Japan and abroad. Through the operation of the inn, we have gained experience in conveying Japanese culture in everyday life, as we often receive questions about Japanese life, etiquette, seasonal events, and kimono culture. In this experience, my mother, who has been involved in the beauty industry for over 10 years, will be the main instructor, and we will dress in the basic kimono that has been passed down in our family. As an assistant, I will help you feel comfortable and confident in your first experience. We value the experience of wearing a kimono as a part of the culture in the actual space of the inn, rather than in a professional classroom.
