Charlene was our host and our group had 10 people. She combined a bit of history of Malta with food, which I found very interesting. It unfortunately started raining at the start of the tour, but we weren’t fazed by it. We had a few stops along the way, starting with the street food/snacks (imqaret and pastizzi) then moving to platters of what she called reception/party food (dips, sausage, cheese, olives, beans, etc), and ending with local flavour pizza (tuna and bruschetta) and ravioli in a tomato and pea sauce. We also tried the local soda (Kinnie), beer and wine. It was all delicious! And Charlene was very friendly and knowledgeable, shared bits of history mixed with how/what locals like to eat, etc. It was a great tour!
