Very fun small activity away from the busyness of Tokyo. A chance to get hands on with traditional paper-making techniques in a quiet location. Would recommend as a unique activity.

The best intimate experience making traditional paper and getting to take it home after the workshop! This was the best!

We were there with 2 small children, 5 and 7 years old. The organizer took care of them lovingly and made sure that the children understood everything well and learned how to make paper themselves. It was a great experience for us adults too.
In addition, my daughter put her wedding ring in her work clothes and forgot. Without any difficulty, she got her valuable ring back, although she noticed it very late at night. The organizer received it and searched for, found and returned the ring. What a joy and relief for them! She will be forever grateful for it.

About me
Washi Mokki Experience Instructor
Fascinated by the world of Tosa washi, one of Japan's three major washi papers with a history of more than 1,000 years, he studied under a Tosa washi craftsman whose grandfather was a living national treasure. In order to convey its charm to the world, we offer a traditional Japanese paper making experience that is rare in Tokyo. We convey the joy of Japanese paper making to nearly 2,000 customers a year, mainly tourists from overseas.
