You’ve got to bee bonkers not to book this experience, even my wife who’s terrified of bees enjoyed it and didn’t run away screaming.
Dot (the host) is very knowledgable about bees, and she’s also all about the sustainable farming. She’s naturally funny, tells a great story and will put you at ease very quickly.
I won’t spoil the surprise by giving away the itinerary but you will get chance to get quite hands on with the bees if you so choose (we got to help/hinder rehousing a colony into larger accomodation) which was quite cool.
When you arrive the place may look deserted, but do not fear, Dot will turn up on the dot to get you. If you’re travelling a ways and need to get breakfast or lunch, “The Village” is nearby and does excellent food and nice coffee.
Don’t bee square, bee there.
