About your host
With a background in ecotourism and guiding I founded Freeheelin’ Adventures in 2007 offering nordic skiing, backpacking, hiking and snowshoeing. My favourite thing is teaching and seeing people progress on cross country skis, it’s a great way to have fun, stay fit and experience winter. Our winters are long so best to enjoy them and the beauty of the Rocky Mountains!

What we’ll do
Upon meeting and completing waivers we will head to the trails around Lake Louise for a nordic ski lesson and short tour at the end. Come prepared for winter with a lunch, thermos of your favourite hot drink, warm layers, over jacket, toque and mittens, we’ll be out over lunch.
What else you should know
Before starting the tour we complete waivers and medical forms at the Chateau, this is an activity that will have some falling on skis, we cover basic technique and set guests up for success!

What to bring
Nordic skis, boots and poles, rentable at Chateau Lake Louise Ski & Sports, or at Wilson’s in town. $25-35 per person.

Please arrive prepared for winter weather with mittens, toque, and scarf and backpack for the day

Where you'll be
Meet at the Chateau Lake Louise before heading along the shoreline to ski trails, where you’ll learn to nordic ski or improve some technique before setting out on a tour. Please arrive with your waxless nordic skis, poles and boots.

Communication policy
Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.
Guest requirements
Up to 4 guests ages 16 and up can attend.
Guests should be fit with no current injuries, able to participate in Cardio, and come prepared with waxless nordic skis, poles and boots, rentable in Lake Louise.
Government ID
You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
