What you'll do
The class will start with getting you acquainted with basic history and fundamentals of the bourbon making process. How it began, how it is made and how it has changed and/or stayed the same over the years. After that we dive straight into the fun stuff, the tasting process of bourbon, how to properly do it; what to look for and other things related. During this time, we will try a wide-ranging selection of bourbons. Abraham will show you all the different preferred drinking methods, what to look for in each type of bourbon and we will pinpoint what you like and don't like about each one. Finally, we will move on to making one of the most iconic bourbon cocktails in the world, the Old Fashioned. Abraham will teach you how to make a cocktail that was invented in his home state of Kentucky using classic ingredients. Be prepared to have a great time and make sure you have a little something to eat before the class.
