What we’ll do

We'll meet in the historic village of Heptonstall, outside the Museum. What else you should know

If you're staying in Hebden Bridge there are regular buses up to Heptonstall. Alternatively you could take a taxi, or it's a very steep 30-40 minute walk up hill.

Where you'll be

We'll start in Heptonstall (be sure to allow time to explore the village in the morning before the walk starts). We'll follow a little-known path to a stunning view at Hell Hole Rocks and then walk along the clifftop and down through the trees into Colden Clough, a remarkable, steep-sided valley with diverse woodland, a wild river and a ruined 200 year old mill, now disappearing into the mosses and trees.
