What you'll do
The most eclectic and interesting area to explore in Toronto is by far Kensington Market and neighbouring Chinatown. Together with your local expert host, you'll meander the narrow streets and alleyways of these colourful market neighbourhoods taking in the sights, sounds, and smells that arise when dozens of different cultures are crammed into just a few blocks. We'll visit local shops, taste some ethnic foods, meet some people who live and work in the neighbourhood and by the end of the tour, you'll feel right at home amongst the synagogues, cafes, bakeries, and street art!
My friends Mike, Tim, Michelle, and I are not only history and culture junkies, but actors as well. We're also professional tour guides who have spent the last several years taking people through our favourite parts of Toronto, combining the past and present into a narrative that explains what's cool in the city and why we love this city. Taking a tour with us is more like hanging out with a local friend with encyclopedic knowledge of the city and a tremendous sense of fun!

In Chinatown we will look at the murals and street art and talk about the history of Chinese immigration and culture in Toronto as we walk by Chinese businesses. In Kensington Market, we'll visit some local shops and reveal how the early Jewish community converted their homes into businesses turning their neighbourhood into a market populated by people from around the world.
