What we’ll do

Guests will arrive to the shucking location and we will begin with an education on how oysters/clams are grown, where the day's product came from, and proper storage of the product. We will then instruct our guests on proper shucking equipment and shucking techniques. Each guest is provided with 16 pieces of shellfish to try after shucking is completed.

Where you'll be

The shucking experience will take place on our rear deck at the Marshall Slocum Inn, a boutique hotel in Newport. In colder weather guests will learn in our chef's kitchen.
