What you'll do

Explore the waterways surrounding Fidalgo Island and Anacortes on a classic 28-foot sailboat with me, Captain Jon!

We begin at Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes where there will be a safety briefing at the dock before departing. After motoring out of the breakwater, the sails go up and the world is ours to explore! Depending on the wind and sea conditions we may choose to head west through turbulent Guemes Channel into picturesque Rosario Strait. What we do and where we go is up to you (and mother nature)! Stunning views of Mt. Baker, the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges and local islands including Orcas, Decatur, Blakely, Cypress, Lummi, Guemes, Hat, Saddlebag and Fidalgo Island surround the waterway.

Should you want to learn about sailing and have some real hands-on training, hear a little about the local maritime history or simply want to have a drink and enjoy the ride, I will give you the tour YOU want!
Other things to note
Bring sun protection and warm comfortable clothing even on hot days. You may bring food or drink if you like, although glass containers are not preferable. There is a bathroom aboard the boat. In the event of adverse weather, the trip may be rescheduled or cancelled.

Jon provided a lovely sailing experience He is a thoughtful host, informative, entertaining, and let each person have a turn at working the rudder (sorry Jon, I forgot the correct term!). In all, his attitude helped create a community of friends, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it.

Jon was an excellent host! He was very knowledgeable and was really interested in sharing it with us as he took us around the water. Jon's passion for what he does really showed to the point that it has made me interested in taking the steps to take the lessons and gathering the knowledge to start sailing on my own.
