What you'll do

We are Liberty Hill Farm, in Rochester, Vermont!
Tours run Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 9 am, and also Saturdays at 5:30 pm.
Our farm tours are scheduled to coincide with daily chores to allow guests the opportunity to experience daily farm life. Guests will be able to watch the cow milking process and even try their hand at milking! From there, we will explain the journey from cow to milk jug. Guests will learn about the different ages and stages of the dairy cow, from birth through adulthood. We will meet, pet, and even feed baby calves, explore the barns, and possibly even witness a new baby being born! Every tour is adjusted to meet the needs and interests of our guests. We strive to encourage our guests to participate hands-on, and encourage questions and ideas! We simply love to share our love of farming and our animals with others!

***All proceeds from our farm tours go directly to our nonprofit organization, Liberty Hill Center for Agricultural Education. ***

I married into a dairy farm family and have been running tours for our bed and breakfast guests for 9 years. Guests visit to learn about local agriculture, small family farming, animal welfare, food systems, and environmental stewardship. We started a nonprofit organization to develop more programs for the public. My experience as a farmer allows me to understand farming, my life experiences allow me to connect others to farming in a tangible way. I am raising 4 children on the farm and have run educational farm programs for local students, as well as informal hands-on experiences with children.

Authentic Vermont dairy farm experience in a beautiful setting! Was great to bring my kids (4 and 6mo) to for them to see how dairy farms operate and even get to milk a cow and feed baby calves. Great to see this farm is holding out in the diminishing amount of dairy farms left in VT!

We had so much fun! I loved seeing the cows and learning about how a dairy farm runs. Asia, the guide, is also very personable and charismatic! We got to feed baby cows and milk an adult cow! I definitely recommend this tour - great value and great fun.

Asia was an amazing host and very engaging. My husband and I took the tour with our 2.5 yr old daughter and we all had a fabulous time. My daughter especially loved the kittens on the farm and the chance to pet a cow and help milk a calf. It is definitely a worthwhile experience!

The farm was beautiful and Asia was a wonderful guide for the group. She was fun, engaging, and informative. The cows were beautiful and it was clear that they’re taken care of with love. Milking and feeding the cows was great fun for the whole family.

Educational little side trip! Enjoyed hearing some history of Vermont farming and their small dairy farm. My 7 y/o adopted all the animals and my reluctant preteen secretly absorbed all the knowledge and loved interacting with the animals.

Excellent experience. My kids loved milking the cows and feeding the calves. Asia does a super job explaining the ins and outs of the working dairy farm.
