We had a great time hiking Mount Batur! The early morning was well worth the view at the top, and we enjoyed our time along the way. The hike definitely requires a certain level of fitness… we hiked through the jungle on narrow pathways, up and down large rocks and loose gravel with only headlamps to guide us on the way up. Our guide, Kuas, made sure to check in along the way and gave us lots of opportunities to stop for water breaks which made it easier! He also helped us on some of the steep parts and was very knowledgeable about how to navigate the terrain. The hot spring was cool but definitely not the highlight of this tour. It was very crowded and didn’t feel like a “natural” space, more just a series of pools with a nice view. The coffee farm was awesome, we were surprised at how much we enjoyed all the different types of coffees! Big thanks to Mawe for driving us to and from each stop and answering lots of questions along the way!

Had a great time hiking Mount Batur. We got to the trail head around 3:30am and were at the top before 5:00am. That allowed about an hour before sunrise enjoy the stars and a wonderful breakfast prepared by the guide. It's cold at the top and you really feel it once you settle in after the hike, so definitely helpful to have some extra layers. Even though it was foggy for most of the time, it eventually cleared up and revealed some breathtaking views. My driver was Nyoman and he was excellent. We arrived at every stop safely and quickly and he was very accommodating throughout the trip. Would definitely recommend

We had the best time with Ana hiking Mount batur. She was really welcoming and friendly and made sure we always had enough rest and water. She made a nutritious breakfast and coffee for us at the summit and took photos for us. We also decided we wanted to race down the mountain to make it down in under 2 hours, and Ana ran down with us and helped us reach our goal. Would 100% recommend this trip.

This was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Pickup from our Airbnb was smooth and the drive to Mount Batur was comfortable and well organized. Our guide was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive throughout the hike. I’m a beginner and my husband is more experienced, and she did a great job adjusting the pace for both of us. She consistently checked in, helped me through the more difficult sections, and made sure we had time to rest when needed. The sunrise trek itself is truly unique and the views, even partway up, were absolutely beautiful and worth the early wake-up. Highly recommend this experience and especially our wonderful guide!!!
