What you'll do

Cook savory bites with a chef + Supermarket tour

Learn to make traditional savory bites—okonomiyaki and gyoza—with a Japanese chef. We’ll start with a conversation about Japanese cuisine and lifestyle, then we’ll make our first dish, okonomiyaki, a Japanese-style savory pancake using various vegetables and meat.

Next, we’ll make a crispy and juicy “gyoza pizza”—it looks like a beautiful flower. We’ll pair our freshly-made dishes with some premium sake. Then we'll head to my local supermarket and I'll show you foods you might not be familiar with and offer insider shopping tips.

Yuca Chan space is really amazing. Everything is really well Organized and the recipe is easy to follow. I love the way she explains and teaches you about Japanese Cuisine in general. You learn about the basics and how to build your dish from there. The result is really delicious.

Yuca was great! She showed the whole class how to make the items and even gives you recipe sheets to take home so you can make it yourself.

This was a fantastic cooking class! We love okonomiyaki (and food in general) and thought it would be a fun & unique experience to learn how to make it while on vacation. YUCa met us at the train station and took us to her private teaching kitchen nearby. We learned to make okonomiyaki & gyoza from scratch as well as several other traditional Japanese recipes. We had a great class, learned a lot, cooked a delicious meal and would definitely recommend it to everyone. YUCa also has an Instagram & YouTube account that we now follow for recipes. :) Thank you!

My husband and me wanted to do the class because we like okonomiyaki and gyoza. We are not great cooks but Yuca was great and started the class with a basic overview of principles of the Japanese cuisine. The other attendees were 2 experienced cook fans and I think we all got a great deal out of the class. It was fun, we did several dishes and arranged them as well in the Japanese way. Very recommended.
