This was gloriously fun! Christian is such a good sport and answered so many questions regarding Italians and their food. Must do for food lovers and if you want to source the real good stuff.

Our guide let us sample 3 wines and 3 food stands in the market then we finished with cannoli. I was full after the first stop, so don't eat beforehand! Interesting guide for the history of the area north of the Vatican.

I ate so much good food on this tour, I came away stuffed and content. Despite us being out during the hottest part of the day, our tour guide did a great job makign sure we were staying in the shade and hitting the fountains making sure our water bottles are filled too. Incredible way to spend a few hours in Rome!!

About me
Local historian and market enthusiast
I'm a Roman who grew up near Mercato Trionfale. I've seen the market change over the years, but it's still maintained its culture. A baker's son still continues his father's traditions, and fruits and vegetables are still sold by farmers from the Roman countryside. I'm a passionate historian who loves to share the art and monuments of this historic..
