Muddy Girl Studio is the ceramic studio of potter and teacher Claire Johnson. Claire has worked in the ceramic industry for the past 18 years. After graduating from Chisholm Tafe with a Diploma of Ceramics she went on to become a facilitator of children’s clay activities for Clayplay Inc. What we’ll do

My studio is situated at the bottom of Mount Dandenong surrounded by towering gum trees,tree ferns and native birds. Here in a fun three hour session you will attempt the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. You will learn how to center the clay, open and pull up to create a small pot. You will then have time to repeat the process at your own pace. There is a maximum of five people at…

Equipment
Venco pottery wheel. Sturdy wheel great for beginners

What to bring

Aprons and towels will be provided but please wear clothes and shoes that you dont mind getting a little dirty
