What you'll do

During a morning walk of the city streets of Vigo we will visit a local market to learn about the different types of seafood and fish caught but the Galician fishermen. Then down thru the old town which was a thriving fishing quarter and we will stop at one of my favourite spots for Galicia wines, Cheeses, spider crab pate... and much more... We will make another stop for the finest seafood fisherman's rice in town with the famed Albariño wines of the D.O. Rias Baixas. Our last stop will be at a cafe to try the Tarta de Santiago (St. James Almond Cake) with licor cafe... really a 3+ course meal in 3 different selected locations of the city. A great way to get familiar with the Galician cuisine and what the Vigo bay area has to offer!

We are die-hard foodies and will show some of our favourite spots for local cuisine! Fascinated with the Celtic World, perhaps because of his Scottish & Irish roots, Sean O'Rourke, a Canadian living in Vigo, Galicia, for over 20 years is not your average Foodie Guide! One of the founders of Vigo Urban Adventures and EATour Specialist offering food & wine experiences in the city of Vigo and beyond! I personally guide all our food tours in Vigo. Alejandro born and raised in A Coruña now living in the city of Vigo has the Galician way of eating in his DNA! A love for both traditional and innovative cuisine. Let us show you the best spots in Vigo to taste the food (seafood a must!) in the largest fishing port in Europe! When I am not avaiable
