What you'll do
Montreal is home to the world’s longest underground tunnel network, spanning an impressive 33 kilometres (20.5 miles), and we’ve chosen a 4km (2.5 miles) zig zagging route of the most interesting parts through Downtown and Old Montreal for you to explore. You’ll walk through tunnels, emerge to beautiful atrium views, admire (or critique) public art, pass an ice-skating rink the middle of a food court, see Montreal’s Metro, and even discover how a mall was constructed underneath a Church placed upon stilts. Along the way you’ll learn why this network is so vital to Montreal’s economy. The tour ends with an unparalleled view of Montreal at the Observatoire Place Ville-Marie where you'll ride the elevator up to the 46th floor. You'll observe the Saint Lawrence River, Mount Royal, Old Montreal, Quartier des spectacles, the Olympic Stadium tower to name a few, and your guide will be right there with you to point out the most interesting sights and neighbourhoods. On those cold wintry days, you’ll be happy to be warm inside discovering a whole new world – or underworld –of Montreal, and be thankful not to get lost down there on your own. * Please note the experience involves a few stairs and a good walking distance.

We are Shea & Diego and we'd like to introduce you to our company Fitz Tours. We offer 6 highly-rated experiences led by ourselves and the "Fitz Family" - this means you may be helped out by Veronique or Christian and hosted by one of our passionate local guides! They all have unique, friendly characters and are world travellers themselves. We've combined our passion and knowledge to offer top-notch bike & walking experiences here in Montreal - the kind we look for when we go traveling ourselves. We keep the groups small, the content upbeat, and hope you leave feeling like you were hosted by a 'friend for the day' - or longer. We'll show you the best art, architecture, urban development, nature, and local events & festivals, but we also aren't afraid to show you the grit, imperfections, and realities of what living in Montreal is like!
