What you'll do

Is it hard to live as a Cuban? I will show you the real deal. We will meet in Vedado area and I'll explain about the successes and setbacks that are unique to our country including how the educational and health care systems work in Cuba. You will face firsthand the 3 main problems in Havana. Our first stop will be a local green market and a bodega to show how Cubans do their groceries given the tight budget constraint. Then we will take the public bus and visit Old Havana. We will walk through the streets of Old Havana to show you all the historical and hidden places around this neighborhood. There you will interact with locals and appreciate all the contrasts of the environment and the cultural elements that embellish life in this community. Then we will return to Vedado area for the purpose of enjoying a tasty Creole lunch, prepared at home with few inputs, but plenty of love We will end the experience tasting an authentic Cuban coffee or snack while we exchange ideas and discuss about the current situation of the country and its future. By the end of the day you will have a wider perception of the economical, cultural and social conditions of daily life in Habana understanding the importance of visiting Cuba to support its people

Albert

I have traveled to several countries but I can asure life in Cuba has no equal, I love living here. Since I started hosting 2 years ago I've always shown to foreigners the real meaning of being Cuban, fact I've reflected several occasions on the thematic tour “Support for the Cuban People”. My experience as a young entrepreneur and economist graduated from Havana University has provided me with a unique vision about my homeland current situation. My purpose is to share that vision so visitors from all over the world can understand and enjoy a little piece of Cuba, the “stuck in time” island.
