What you'll do

We have nurtured an amazing and secluded place to explore, relax and create on our private lake. Leave behind the usual distractions and allow relaxation and inner change to occur; encouraging the ongoing conversion of heart that is critical to living well. Whether it is fishing in a hidden cove, swimming in crystal clear waters, walking the prayer labyrinth, bird watching, boating, resting in a hammock, hiking, writing, painting, picnicking or more, a time of peaceful recreation and restoration will abound during your time. I am careful to keep the guest count low at the lake. Some guests may find themselves completely alone on the property, while others may have to share. Guests favor the communal beach area, so if you are seeking aloneness you may want to hike a trail to a private vista or hop on a boat and travel to a more remote area. With 40 expansive acres to explore, the options are many. After a brief intro, lake map included, guests are welcome to spend their own time delving into all that Lake Adullam has to offer. In the case of my absence, guests will access the lake on their own, with the information provided via email. I remain available during your visit via Airbnb messaging. Trails and lookout vistas are available all year. Water sport activities, hammocks, bathroom facilities, are available during late March through early Nov.

Born and raised here on the Cape, I discovered this hidden treasure in 2006 when I returned to the shore after nearly 20 years away. This incredibly beautiful spring-fed lake, once a sand quarry, has evolved into a rich and vital ecosystem; home to a diverse wildlife population including several endangered species. After building my home here in 2007, I witnessed a rapid increase in vegetation, wildlife & peaceful beauty on these secluded 40 acres tucked away on NJ's southernmost coast. Come experience the restorative power of nature for yourself on the lake by the sea.

More tips

With prior notice start time can "often" be flexible. The lake is owned by my family, hidden within a neighborhood where I live. Time may be shared with other guests and my family. With 40 acres to explore it is easy to find solitude. All guests are to respect the peaceful experience of others.
