What you'll do
We will experience the essence of Korean dance at a small theater in Daehak-ro, the performing arts area in Seoul's Jongno district. The show will start every Monday at 7:30 PM and dances will be performed, including the Seungmu, the Salpuri, or the Taepyeongmu. After you watch these performances, we'll have time to learn from each other.
I am one of the only people who keeps Seungmu—a traditional Korean dance—alive. I earned my PhD in performing arts and as a visiting professor, I've been to various universities, including National University of Costa Rica, SOAS in the UK, Sydney University in Australia, and more. I invite you to see this exclusive performance that even Koreans don't get the chance to experience.
