What you'll do

Learn about Russian heritage on an interactive walk

Get to know Moscow history, spirit, and modern lifestyle. We Russians say that Moscow and the rest of Russia are two different countries, which is true to some extent. However, Moscow itself is extremely manifold city, and the experience might give you that insight. My aim is to show you different perspectives of my home town and to make you feel those contrasts as much as possible. For that purpose we will visit noble railway stations and opulent metro stations, hidden yards with the remains of 16th-century chambers and medieval churches with golden domes and majestic interiors, squares bustling with people, and parks packed with monuments of writers and politicians. The Muscovites say that the so called "true" Moscow lives on the side-streets. I will give you that experience.

Hello friends, my name is Sergey. I was born and raised in Moscow, and I've been cycling through the city as long as I remember myself. I've had dozens of jobs - from delivery man to journalist - and have worked as a tour guide since 2009. I am curious about the bizarre and vast city where I live: medieval churches, glamorous mansions, Soviet heritage, natural sights (Moscow is one of the most green capitals in the world), and the modern city life. I love to share my hometown treasures with newcomers, and I welcome you!

Where you'll be

We'll start from the Three Railway Stations square from where endless Russian railroads begin (including the legendary Trans-Siberian). After we'll head to Kitay-gorod, the soul of modern Moscow, the district right next to Kremlin where sleepy St. John's hill and Hitrovka square with tiny hidden yards neighbour with busy streets packed with cafes, pubs and night clubs. And after Kitay-gorod there will be a third location - a surprise for you...
