What you'll do
Our Bath City Cycle Tour is a fun and enjoyable way to take in the best Bath has over a pleasant 10km easy cycle route . Our groups are a maximum of 6-8 riders ensuring a more personal experience. Starting in the city we will join and cycle along the scenic Kennet and Avon canal experiencing its history and wildlife at various stops including the historic Widcombe Locks. From there we will join the the River Avon before cycling up towards Pulteney Weir and Bath Rugby Club for a photo and chat about the historical sites and buildings from a stunning view point on the banks of the Avon. Cycling through the heart of the City along charming narrow streets we’ll journey across the developments of Georgian Bath including the Royal Crescent and Circus. Leaving the Circus we will cycle across the iconic Pulteney Bridge and the Georgian grandeur of Great Pulteney street before returning to Bath Narrow Boats via Sydney Gardens and their picturesque canal tunnels. Expect to see some of Baths amazing wildlife including the iconic Kingfishers a highlight for any visitor to Bath! PLEASE NOTE - Due to seasonal weather we operate a 'Winter/Spring' route (November-March) and a 'Summer/Autumn' (April-October) route. The 'Winter/Spring' route described above is a shorter weather friendly route. The 'Summer/Autumn' route is longer at approximately 20km including an increased rural section.
Darroch is a former British army officer & security advisor with experience operating in the world’s most challenging environments. Wayne is a former England & Great Britain internation cross country, marathon runner & coach. We're both passionate cyclists who love to share our knowledge of Bath's history, military journey through the ages, culture & wildlife during guided tours. Expect a fun, relaxing & educational way to enjoy Bath. We are qualified mountain bike leaders, outdoor first aid medics, Educare certified 'Child Protection in Sport & Active Leisure' & DBS checked.

Up to 16 guests ages 12 and up can attend. Guests should be able to ride a bicycle and have a basic level of fitness. The cycle tour is approximately 9.5 kilometres long and takes approximately 2 hours.
Guests will need to be able to cycle a bicycle safely. Tours are suitable for all abilities although a basic level of fitness is required. The minimum age for a rider is 12 years old. The routes are mostly traffic free, mainly flat with some small climbs.
