This tour was everything I wanted it to be. Personal connection and food from places we likely would have overlooked as tourists. Joan was our guide and man what a charming and kind man. He is so personable and easy to talk to. He explained daily life for the average Cuban and the struggles that ordinary people face in Cuba. He took us to friendly local stops for a good variety of food and drink. The entire experience felt like we were meeting up with an old friend who had moved to a new city and they wanted to show us around their neighborhood and favorite spots. Please do this tour as a way to connect directly with a Cuban local and speak on a personal level. I wish Joan nothing but the best and hope to see him again next time I visit Havana.

Our guide, Ana, did an amazing job. She was extremely knowledgeable and ran the tour in both English and Spanish without skipping a beat.
