About your host

I was born and raised in Kyoto. I used to be a manager at a guesthouse in Kyoto, where I noticed that many foreigners had an interest in Japanese culture. What we’ll do

I will offer you a simplified guidance for the tea-making procedure called bonryaku temae. We will use a tray and you can do this temae on the table. This is usually the first step of sado—the tea ceremony—for students because it is easy to learn and it's a useful procedure.
