What you'll do
You will receive a unique experience on this walking food tour through Manhattan's Chinatown. We’ll begin in Columbus Park, previously home to the infamous immigrant neighborhood, the Five Points. We'll then weave through the streets discussing the evolution of this historic area before visiting the largest indoor Chinese market in Manhattan. There will also be time for you to explore on your own with suggestions of some iconic neighborhood shops. Throughout the experience you will taste Cantonese BBQ pork buns and Beijing style pan fried dumplings. We'll culminate at a favorite neighborhood spot for a taste of their Peking duck sesame pancake garnished with fresh cucumber & leeks!
I’m a chef with the bulk of my experience in New York City fine dining. My interest for Chinese cuisine has grown to passion after moving into Manhattan's Chinatown a few years ago. This neighborhood became my true home as I’ve built relationships with restaurant, bar & shop owners over the years. I’m passionate about sharing my love for Chinatown, its food & history with others.
