Ngurah was amazing and excellent. I ended up being the only person on this tour, so it was very personalized to my interests, curiosity, and questions. It felt as though I was having a discussion with one of my elder uncles as he explained Bali culture, the meaning behind various practices, and Indonesia in general. I would highly recommend this activity. You don't even realize the three hours passing, they go by very quickly.

I am so glad I went on this walking tour of Depansar. I wound up being the only one so I was able to ask Ngurah all my questions about Balinese tradition and life in Bali. I really appreciate how open Ngurah was in sharing his experiences and knowledge. I enjoyed visiting and learning more about all the places locals go on a daily basis: temple, wet market, flower market, and offering market. Word of caution: it gets really hot so make sure you are well hydrated and bring water. I almost passed out from heat exhaustion and Ngurah was an amazing, caring host who sprung into action so I didn’t pass out. Highly recommend this tour to learn more about Balinese people and the city of Depansar.

This was such a valuable and enjoyable experience. I booked the private tour option for my partner and I and our three kids, as they are only 8, 6, and 2 years old and require a bit of positive and flexibility. We were excited to see old Denpasar, the capital of Bali, and a less-touristy spot. We learned about the history of Bali, visited a local animal market such my kids loved (iguanas, birds, fish, and hermit crabs to enjoy), tasted local dishes, and visited a temple. I’m grateful our friendly host was not in a hurry and happy to sit down for a minute when the kids needed a break. Highly recommend to other families and any one else visiting Bali.

I think this is a must-visit route on the first day of a trip to Bali. There is a huge difference between visiting Bali without knowing anything about it and walking around Bali after listening to a guide’s explanation. It was a great opportunity to gain an understanding of Bali's history and culture. Even though I applied on my own, the staff were friendly and made learning about history and culture a lot of fun. I also felt that they were being as considerate of me as possible. Although the weather is hot, the hike is not long, so everyone from children to seniors can participate.
