A family member & I pulled into the driveway and waited a few moments before being greeted by Matt, who led us around to the side of the house where we saw 5 ducks in a fenced-in enclosure and 3 goats in another enclosure behind them. I was expecting Maureen, listed as the host, but nothing was said. Matt took one duck out and offered a few facts, then let the goats out and offered some facts while we fed them a treat. We followed him into the garage to a desk, where he mixed goat milk soap ingredients together and informed us we could purchase already prepared soap for $5 a bar. He also brought his dog down from the house to meet. Overall, Matt was a kind person and I appreciated seeing the animals, but I was expecting a lot more, especially on the reviews I read prior. There were no chickens, as Matt said there was a hawk on the property lately, and no eggs to collect or purchase. Though I appreciate the offering of the experience, I have to admit it was an awkward one.
