What to bring

Do bring outdoor walking shoes and weather proof clothing. The walk will mostly be on the flat but the ground can be rough in places.

Where you'll be

Many islanders were forced to leave the village forever - their descendants scatted across the face of the Earth. This exclusive walking tour by the writer Kevin Toolis, whose family have lived in the village for 250 years, explores those lost ruins and tells that universal story of Irish emigration.
