I'm an experienced rock climber and educator who loves the outdoors. I'm a certified Wilderness First Responder and I've climbed in 15 states so far, as well as internationally!

What we’ll do

We'll start by learning about some basic safety skills and instruction on using the auto-belays. Then we'll get climbing! The synthetic rock wall at the Scioto Audubon has 6100 square feet of climbing, up to 35 feet high, so there will be a route to suit everyone's experience level. I'll be on hand to belay you individually on top rope, and help with tips on how to improve your technique. Once you…

What else you should know

Make sure to bring shoes that you'd be comfortable climbing in. If you don't have rock climbing shoes, no worries! You can still have a great experience climbing in street shoes or barefoot.

Water and Sweets I'll provide a jug of water for you to refill your water bottles from and some sweets to provide a little energy!
Equipment
Helmet, Harness, Chalk All safety and anchoring equipment will be provided by yours truly.

Where we'll be

The Audubon Metro Park is an amazing sanctuary for birds amidst an industrial landscape and awesome place to get in some exercise. It's a rare treat to find a spot to go climbing outdoors in the middle of a major city, and the view from the wall is gorgeous, especially towards dusk.

Government ID
