About your host

Having lived in rural KwaZulu-Natal all my life, I know all about true African hospitality. We never turn away a traveler, both local and foreign. It is our custom to never allow a person to leave our home without having shared a part of our lives with them.

What we’ll do

Join us for a day of community immersion in Durban. We'll meet at the WOWZULU Marketplace at Ohlange Institute and, after grabbing a cup of coffee or water, head down with your guide/translator (zulu/english) into rural Mzinyathi. Leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind you, where you are greeted by rolling hills, grazing goats, and friendly people. We'll make our way to my homestead,…

Enjoy freshly-brewed coffee, hear our stories, and view locally-made crafts.
