What you'll do

Towards Punta Tresino: The coastal stretch between Agropoli and Santa Maria di Castellabate. For this part of the journey we start from 'zona Lago' or viceversa, north of Santa Maria di Castellabate direction Agropoli or viceversa, reachable in about 45 min from the south on foot through the beach of Santa Maria. The direction to follow is San Giovanni, along via Cozzo Piano Cupo, and always uphill. After approx. 40 min of walk, and even before arriving at the abandoned village of San Giovanni (228 m), from where you can admire a splendid view of Santa Maria di Castellabate, Punta Licosa, the village of Castellabate on the hilltop, and Mount Stella. Continuing towards north, the view opens up more and more on the Bay of Trentova and Agropoli, on Paestum and the Plain of the Sele River, on the Amalfi Coast and Capri. The trekking route continues northly, always in the direction Pastena Contrada, until we reach Punta Tresino and its coastal tower, from which you can see Punta Licosa.
The walk is a moderate level (E) but you need to be moderate fit.
We can choose either to make the ring and come back to Agropoli or go directly to Santa Maria di Castellabate, takng the bus back.

I had the most delightful day hiking the Cilentro Coast with Enzo. He is very attentive, knowledgeable about the terrain and local species, and is an intelligent and interesting companion. I appreciated that he talked when he had something to share, but otherwise gave me time to take in and appreciate the stunning views of the coastline and sea. He also took me to a delicious locals restaurant, and made my journey easier by helping me locate gifts and getting me to where I needed to be. He really made me appreciate the generosity and hospitality of the region, while looking out for my safety and the total experience. Enzo speaks 5 languages and his English is excellent. I did a Vesuvius hike with Enzo the next day and plan to take some of his online experiences as well. I can't recommend this experience highly enough. I thought it was incredible value and would do it again.

The walk along the Cilento Coast is breathtaking! Enzo took very good care of us and provided everything we needed for a great experience. He even had a phone charger with multiple types of plugs that allowed me to charge my phone camera.... important in order not to miss those special moments! Thanks Enzo, for a great day.

You absolutely positively will not find a better guide than Enzo! We did the path of the gods walk with him and that experience was so good that we booked the Punto Tressina walk with him as well. For us, this walk was superior to the path of the gods walk, although that one was fantastic as well. What made this experience so incredible is Enzo. He is an absolutely astonishing guide and person. He is able to gauge each person's interests and level of fitness and plan his treks accordingly. I found out a day or two before this hike that my daughter and I were the only two people signed up for it. I did not expect Enzo to run the trip just for us. He said that he would happily take us on the trip even if it were just one person! The hike itself was absolutely amazing. We saw vistas that were even better in my opinion than the path of the gods. Also even though it was a weekend, saw into one other group on the entire four hour hike. It was quite a different situation than the craziness of the Amalfi Coast. Enzo offered to pick us up in Salerno and drove us to the start of the hike. Afterwards he asked if we would like to go eat some local food and go to the beach. We said of course! So we ended up spending 12 hours with Enzo and having the absolute time of our lives.. He was our personal guide for the entire day. We definitely left as friends. We felt completely safe with him at all times. He is an expert not only in the terrain but also in the flora and fauna of the area. He has advanced degrees in environmental sciences and is incredibly knowledgeable. I really cannot believe the pains that Enzo took to make sure that my daughter and I had a good time. We were running short on time because my daughter wanted to stay at the beach for an extra hour. This this meant that we were cutting it short to catch our train. So Enzo called his mother who came and picked us up and took us to the train station. I can't imagine anyone else doing that. Absolutely amazing people. Enzo clearly cares about each and every person in his group, whether that is a group of one or 20. We can't wait to come back and do more trips with Enzo. If you have any concerns at all, let me assure you that you are in the best possible hands. I can't think of anyone else that I would go on a hike with in a foreign country by myself with my teenage daughter. I would hike anywhere with Enzo, and I highly recommend this hike. The views are absolutely gorgeous, and you get to see the Cilento Coast without any of the crowds of Amalfi.

Enzo is a great host/guide. We spent 2 weeks in Italy, last week we did The Path of Gods walk with him... this was so good that we booked the Punta Tresino walk with him today. Firstly we met at the Buffalo farm, where they make Mozarella cheeses, yoghurt and ice cream ! We saw how the mozarella was made and met the buffalo before going to the shop for something the eat & drink - we had cappuccino and ice cream - ( best ice cream I have tasted!) We then drove to Agropoli and parked there, we then got into his car and drove to the start of the walk. We walked along the coast line to Punta Tresino and then further onto Santa Maria di Castellabate where we had lunch together at Cantuccio - very nice food. The walk had lovely views, and was a welcomed break from the loud and busy Amalfi Coast. We recommend this experience, Enzo is the greatest host and guide & a great representative for his country. Grazie mille !!!
