Keiko has a beautiful studio in a nice neighborhood. She’s very knowledgeable and patient either way all skill levels. I thought it was a really nice introduction to Sashiko and a pleasant way to spend an afternoon in Tokyo.

Such a wonderful experience! My daughter and I took this class and loved it. Charming little shop on the second floor on a quiet street. Our host was so knowledgeable on her craft. I had done some embroidery but it is definitely not required as she explained things very well. Highly recommend if want to take a peaceful break from busy Tokyo sightseeing

Keiko-san warmly welcomes students to her charming studio to enjoy the Japanese stitching practice of Sashiko. With her clear and supportive instruction, our class of 4 prepared a preprinted Japanese kitchen cloth (Hanafukin); practiced stitching over two layers; and learned several helpful tips to achieve a tidy finish on both back and front.

My partner and I had so much fun! Keiko was very friendly and patient with us as we learned this special craft. She is a great teacher and very encouraging. I feel like I was able to really absorb everything she said.
I didn't get to finish my embroidery (this expectation was clearly set) but am excited to continue. I've always loved seeing sashiko and now I'm excited to be able to be able to do some of my own thanks to this experience and Keiko. 💕
