What you'll do

Who hasn’t wanted to try their hand at glassblowing? It is thrilling. Assist in making one tumbler or one vase, or two Christmas ornaments. You’ll roll the glass in the color(s) of your choice, blow into the pipe, and help shape the piece. You experience first hand the thrill of working with molten glass as David helps you create a unique work of art from start to finish. You walk away the next day, with your own, one-of-a-kind creation. And of course, “safety first” and hot-shop etiquette are emphasized. These short experiences, depending on what you’re making, take roughly an hour per person. Book one hour for each person. Meaning, 3 people, book 3 hours, etc. Though it will take less time than that. Taking reservations day and night for Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays. But David will work with you if those days are not possible.

David

Accomplished glassblower, David Jacobson has been honing his craft for over 26 years. Trained in the Venetian Style of glassblowing, which incorporates elegant shapes, rich colors and masterful techniques, David creates brightly colored functional objects as well as one-of-a-kind sculptures. “I am passionate about glassblowing and all techniques in glass making. I love turning people onto the wonders of glass. And, my 5-star reviews tell me that I am able to convey that enthusiasm to all that come here. I can’t wait to let you try glassblowing. There aren’t many studios that let you be involved in the process as much as I do, so take advantage of that.”

Where you'll be

My studio is located on my 4 acres of open land at my home. Long views of the hills. True's pond is down the road, perfect for kayaking after the glass experience. Goats and horses across the road. Lovely views of the Mt. Levenseller can be seen from the front windows. A modern, well-lit, comfortable studio will be your setting and launching pad for your own glass creation.
